Step 2 I started feeling more happier, when I changed my attitudes through life.
I changed the way I was looking at the problems, basically, I have changed my attitude toward them.
In the previous step, I talked about Happiness is a choice, our choice, we can decide the way we want to live our life, making a decision, making a choice, the right choice to be happy.
Now I probably know what you are thinking right now, even if I decided to be happy, how can I be happy all the time if …. (whatever reason you might have) and I understand that, because I was thinking the same a while ago before I realized that I had to change my attitudes.
Once we have made the choice that we want to live a happy life, it doesn’t mean it will be a “problems free life”, that would be very nice but I honestly can’t see this happening.
So what can we do to keep ourselves happy and to stick to the choice we have made?
It’s really simple, we can change our attitudes through life, changing the way we are looking at the problems.
This is another of my favourite quotes:
Now if you have watched the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean” with Johnny Depp you might remember the following quote, which it says it all:
Don’t you agree with that?
It’s how we react to the problems, that create our state of mind, once again we are in charge to make a decision, we can decide to let the problem take over, therefore, be negatively effected or, instead, obviously acknowledge the problem and decide to do something to solve it without being overpowered by the problem and spend time dwelling on it, which is very bad. (How to replace your negative thoughts with positive thoughts)

The problem remains the same, it doesn’t matter how we feel about it, the problem doesn’t change , but the way we react to the problem makes a big change in our life.
Not thinking all the time about the problem, doesn’t mean we are neglecting it.
We just need to spend the right time to find a solution, make a plan and solve it.
Thinking all the time about a problem is very stressful and bad for us, our mind can end up confused and buzzing….
Have you ever had that feeling? I did have it, but I managed to change my attitude because I just had enough of feeling worried, angry and down and not happy at all.
Now since I have decided and made a choice to be a happy person and live a happy life, whatever happens to me, I am determined to not let anything destroy my sense of happiness.
You might also like to read: Happiness comes from within.
If something happens that I don’t like, if I can do something about it, I do it, if I can’t do anything about it, I tend not to worry or get angry, (it’s pointless, it would only destroy my inner peace) so I just accept it and move on, because I firmly believe that there is a reason for anything.
It doesn’t mean I am happy 24/7, I’m not a robot, but I tend not to dwell on bad things because I made the choice to be a happy person.
So if I managed to succeed and be a happy person, I can’t see any reason why you can’t succeed as well and change your attitudes for the better.
Are you prepared to do something about it? Remember things don’t change without any action.
Below I have listed some quotes from famous and successful people on “Happiness is an attitude of mind”

“Happiness is an attitude of mind” Quotes
“Happiness is an attitude of mind, born of the simple determination to be happy under all outward circumstances.” J. Donald Walters
“I am determined to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I may find myself. For I have learned that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness is determined not by our circumstance but by our disposition.” Martha Washington
“It is very important to generate a good attitude, a good heart, as much as possible. From this, happiness in both the short term and the long term for both yourself and others will come.” Dalai Lama
“Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable, or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same.” Francesca Reigler
“Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens. Circumstances and situations do color life but you have been given the mind to choose what the color shall be.” John Homer Miller
“Happiness doesn’t depend on any external conditions, it is governed by our mental attitude.” Dale Carnegie
“Happiness is in our own hearts. I have no regrets of anything in the past. I’m totally cheerful and happy, and I think that a lot of your attitude is not in the circumstances you find yourself in, but in the circumstances you make for yourself.” Maeve Binchy
